I play in a free league here in town and have done quite well. I’m one of the better players but would like to improve my game. I have already won a seat to their National Championship in vegas and one of the events in next years WSOP. They both are No Limit events.

What I’m looking for is advice on how to improve my game. I already read a new poker book about once a month as well as try to play more at the casino tournaments. I go at least once a month to their 100 person $35 dollar buy in. They pay out the top 10 and I have made it to the money 3 out of the last 5 times I played.

So is their anything more that I can do to try and get ready for the WSOP next year. It starts back up again in June. I have a little over 6 months to get ready.

Seriuosly, this is getting crazy. My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 months and every weekend for the last month or so he has been at the poker hall. I don’t know what to do, I know he loves to play and it’s cool with me if he goes and plays a couple tournaments on the weekends, but he will go and spend the WHOLE weekend there. I thought the weekends were supposed to be for couples to hang out and stuff. But, all he wants to do is play poker. I want to just sit and watch a movie or something, just be together. I got mad today (I have told him how I feel in the past) and he told me he didn’t care if I got mad, and just left the house. I don’t know what to do, I love him and our relationship is really good otherwise, I just don’t like feeling second to poker. Is this normal or am I just overreacting?

Dalton Mcginty is on channel 27 doing a commercial every 15 to 30 minute intervals, Dalton, we know you’re out there. I think it’s a prime channel he is advertising on… Oh wait it’s actually the channel for the Star poker tournaments, wow what kind of audience is he trying to reach?

I am still trying to remember what it was that he said? I was too busy looking at his phoney facial expressions to even notice what was actually coming out of his mouth. The question is how much is this advertising costing the province of Ontario? Who is investing in his re-elections campaign and why? what are the companies getting out of it, I am assuming he is getting the money from companies and not tax payer money? Right?

when i go play poker i wear a coat, glasses and an iPod, i do ok, but do people take me seriously or do i look like an ass. If i start playing tournaments can i still wear that stuff like i do at the 3 6 table

on my live poker account for ipod touch, I have 20,000 chips. i recently purchased live poker deluxe for the extra 2000 chips per day as well as the tournaments which are on their way. my problem is that i cannot figure out how to transfer all my chips from the free live poker to live poker deluxe. i dont want to earn all 20,000 chips all over again. please help me! also note that i didnt use a facebook account to sign up for free live poker; i just made a quick account from my ipod

I held a $0.50+$0.50 private tournament in an attempt to get people to join my forum, but I was only able to get a group of friends to play in it. Is hosting private tournaments on full tilt a good advertising strategy? How else could i get visitors to sign up to my forum?

im looking for tournament style games one price for selected amount of chips thanks in advance

Im 22 almost 23 so I am still around the age that i could look under 21. I played at Taj Mahal, Caesars and just recently at Borgata. At taj, i think i only got carded 1 time and never at Caesars. Friday night when we went to Borgata for the first time with my buddy, he’s 23 and turning 24 both sat at the same table 1-2NL and both get carded. We’re both Asian by the way so we most likely look younger though

I heard a thread where someone talked about the borgata maybe 3-4 weeks ago where some guy said his g/f wanted to watch or something and everyone said if she looks under 25 , almost certainly she will get carded. Is this true to the people who here has played poker at the Borgata get carded or its just us? I recall on Caesars when my friend was playing and i went to watch him before we head to the borgata, there was a dealer change and the dealer asked the guy for ID and he was 21 and kept telling the table he had a babyface and what not.

I think someone said Borgata is more strict b/c there was a player that won a tournament and they found out he was 19? Is that the reason why borgata is more strict? Have any one of you who are around 21-25 who don’t get carded at Borgata or do they do that to almost everyone?

Does any one want to see a poker room in Toronto? (Please explain why or why not). Would you like to see more cash games or tournaments if one existed? where do you want to see it? Any other detail would be nice.
