what`s more fun live poker or online poker?
Thursday, May 21st, 2009i`ve played online poker for play money and it getting boring would playing in a real money tournament live be more fun than online play money poker?
I would like to teach some smaller stakes players, or any players really that are interested. I plan on starting out charging only 25 dollars an hour.
My online full tilt name is DaSarge06 . If you look it up you can see I have over 17k winnings in the past 120 days. I normally teach MTT strategy and Cash Strat, but have taught Sit’n'Go before.
If anyone is interested post here, or email me and we can get in touch. For now, Good luck at the tables!
yes, I could put up a 15 min videos fairly easy, I’m just wondering if it would be worthwhile, as I don’t know if anyone is even interested.
My question is, what is the best way to track this for my 2008 tax return? I’m sure ideally I would record every single tournament, but by the end of the year I will have thousands of tournament results, but it seems this is rather tedious for both me and the IRS.
Would it be more effective, or legal for me to simply track the cashout checks? Since I’m working with an out of country company, and the money’s not really mine until I have a check in hand I thought this might be ok.
Also, I never make deposits (and actually never have, but that’s another story) if that makes any difference.
***IT IS EASIER TO BEAT A BAD PLAYER THEN A GOOD PLAYER
dont play only tournaments,
Play more cash games. in a cash game you want someone to call it you have kq and they have 23
One bad beat doenst ruin you night in a cash game cuz you can keep playing and if they keep playing with 23 you will take all of there money by the end of the night
If you only play tournament you will find more donkeys then in a cash game,
Whining doenst prove you are a better play taking there money proves you are better
I went to a casino to inquire about any tournaments they may be holding since i happened to be there that day.
They explained to me that the tournament cost 52 dollars, of which 12 goes straight to the casino!!
I was so shocked by this that i begin to question weather playing poker at a casino is feasible to actually expect a profit. That 12$ commission represents something of a 20% disadvantage! I just don’t see how any player can hold an edge over other players larger than that so they expect to win money.
And what about in the games where they take a rake? like a commission out of every pot. How do you overcome that?
Most importantly, how do you KNOW/PROVE that you are expecting to overcome those factors?
