I feel bad for you but there's no law or other restriction to protect you from yourself. There are deposit limits which aren't really in place to protect you they have to do with the risk of chargebacks to the site but you did talk them into overriding it for you. They don't have any obligation to limit this though. You really do need to seek professional help if you find this is still out of control. If you do play again, losing 50 big bets in an hour at limit poker makes you world class loose and careless and you might want to stick to playing good cards instead of pretty much anything. To compare with a professional I might play 3 or 4 hands in an hour and fold most of them and you're playing a lot more, way more than this and not doing a lot of folding either. You've got two problems here really, you're careless with your money and careless about your play, very very careless in both instances and if you ever do play again, which you really shouldn't, this is something to keep in mind.

They are businesses, not babysitters - take responsibility for your own actions instead of trying to find someone to blame. Unless they sent someone to your house to get you drunk or make you gamble at gunpoint, they aren't responsible for your problems, legally or any other way.

Hello,

I recommend one method to deal with this:
1/ you must realize that this loss is unrecoverable,
2/ it does not mean that you should quit poker, in fact you do not need to, because there is a very simple technique, which is:
3/ play low limits, for example NL10; play there until you have made money there, and then consider moving up to NL25.
4/ possibly add a daily loss limit such as 3 buy-in=$30.

Good luck

Law against what?

You feel unprotected? You had a limit. You were protected. But YOU CHOSE to lift the protection.

Take some responsibility for your own actions. No one made you keep depositing money.

This is YOUR FAULT. I'd say that you should get some help with your gambling problem, but since you are trying to blame the poker site you obviously aren't anywhere near that point yet.

There is no way to hold them liable for you losing your money. It is not their fault that you lost it. They are under no regulations as to how much money you can lose in a period of time.

Don't be an idiot.

Quit playing.

To play right poker you have to not worry about money, and be able to loose and have swings. you are not playing correct if thinking about being down or getting even. All players have swings and most loose there whole bankroll as I have done and have been even behind like you are. the idea is in the end you need to realize there is more than poker and dont let gambling control you. It has completely ruined my last 2 years online and in real casinos. i would stop playing online as its not legit. there are better times ahead, if you can get away from poker and not worry about being down.
